The new swimsuit-style of latex contraceptive is designed to reduce the skin-to-skin contact of the parts of the pelvic area that are not covered by a Condom during sex.
According to the website for Scroguard it is good for long-term partners, swingers, casual sex and men who enjoy sexual variety. Apparently 50% of people in the US that get two of the most common STDs, genital herpes and HPV, get it through skin-to-skin contact. They say that their product combined with the use of a condom will completely protect you from STDs, despite the loss of sexiness and/or comfort.
We can add this to the bag of wierd safe sex inventions through the years. Does anyone remember the electric condom, or VivaGel, the condom that kills the HIV virus?
The idea is that these methods are designed to make our sex safer and generally, better. Could they be a contraceptive that becomes popular with time?
