There is a different contraceptive method that is most suitable to each different womans body and circumstances, but when it comes to health care providers and their own contraception, a large percentage choose the IUD or intrauterine device.
Acording to a recent study done on 488 health care workers varying from doctors to nurses, 42% of them prefer to use long lasting reversible contraceptive methods, of which 40% use the IUD. The device is T-shaped and inserted into the the vagina where it can stay for up to 12 years preventing pregnancy.
